Lucerne

sold out!
Lucerne is an impeccable and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1920) platinum ring sure to make a statement! The ring centers a four-prong set 5.14cts EGL Certified Old European Cut diamond graded K color and SI1 clarity. In our opinion, the mounting is original with some structural modifications done post-1950. The magnificent center diamond is nestled inside a delicate platinum setting leading to sixteen Old European Cut diamonds that line the delicate shoulders, totaling approximately 0.25ct in weight. Lucerne is an incredible, one-of-a-kind ring that truly embodies the craftsmanship from the Edwardian era. The ring is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
