Montreaux

sold out!

Montreaux is an important and authentically antique Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum and diamond engagement ring. The center diamond is nestled in a royal crown like setting accompanied by a GIA Diamond Report stating the 3.13cts Round Brilliant Cut diamond is graded F color and VS1 clarity. This incredibly white center diamond is further adorned by an additional six mixed cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.35ct in weight. Montreaux is truly a ring fit for a queen and its regal appearance shows it! It is finished with delightful hand engraving along the shoulders, a touch of milgrain detailing and fleur-de-lis open metalwork motif along the basket.

Montreaux is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with questions.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
