sold out!
Sterlington is a stunning and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum engagement ring featuring a magnificent vintage stone. This antique solitaire features an EGL certified 3.98ct Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond graded M color and I1 clarity. The warm toned diamond faces up much whiter than its color grade and the chunky, antique cut gives this wonderful ring a substantial presence on the finger. This one-of-a-kind piece of history is finished with a lovely, all original polished platinum shank accented with a touch of fluted engraving along each shoulder. Sterlington is currently size 7 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
