Shafor Park is an incredible and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum engagement ring centering a pristine GIA certified center diamond. The diamond report states the Old European Cut diamond weighs exactly 2.08cts and is graded J color and SI1 clarity with an additional six Single Cut diamonds set into the gallery and shoulders. Shafor Park is further adorned by twelve Calibre Cut sapphires set around the outside of the center diamond. This incredible diamond and sapphire engagement ring is finished with amazing engraving, milgrained edges and scrolling open metalwork along the mounting.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
