Encanto is a romantic and authentic Early Edwardian (circa 1910) platinum and 18k yellow gold ruby and diamond ring. The ring centers an eight-prong set ruby accompanied by a GIA certificate stating the 1.44ct Cushion Cut ruby is Heated with Burma origin. The intensely saturated ruby is further adorned by six Old European Cut diamonds lining the shoulders and totaling approximately 0.50ct in combined weight. Encanto is finished with a simple and traditional mounting and the low profile of the center ruby makes this ring extremely comfortable to wear! The ring is currently a size 6 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
