Highmeadow

sold out!
Highmeadow is a gorgeous and authentic Art Nouveau (circa 1910) ring that most likely started out life as part of a necklace. The stunning ring centers a single bezel set Cushion Cut ruby gauged at approximately 0.95ct and accompanied by a Guild Laboratories certificate stating the ruby is Heated with Thailand origin. The ring is further adorned with eight Old Mine Cut diamonds, each individually bezel set, framing the outside of the ring totaling approximately 0.28ct in weight. Highmeadow's snowflake design is illuminated by the 18k yellow gold split shank that was added years later. The ring has an incredibly low profile, making it extremely comfortable for everyday wear. Highmeadow is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

HISTORY
In contrast to the concurrent Edwardian period, jewelry from the Art Nouveau period was an artistic revolt against the technological advances of the industrial age, instead focusing heavily on handcrafting and creative design. In this jewelry, unusual gemstones like opal, agate, and moonstone were popular, and diamonds were more often used as subtle accents.
