HISTORY
The Art Nouveau era functioned as a rebellion against overt opulence, overlapping the Edwardian era from 1890-1910. Jewelry from this era was very artistic, with the focus placed on the artist’s overall design for a piece. Diamonds were often traded for other gemstones like opals, rubies, and other semi-precious stones.
