Caraway is a sweet and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1905) 18k white and yellow gold ring centering a Round Cabochon Australian opal gauged at approximately 2.4mm diameter and displaying an array of beautiful rainbow play-of-color. A sweet halo of eight Single Cut diamonds further surround the center opal totaling approximately 0.25ct. Each diamond is detailed with 18k white gold scalloped edges around the edges. Caraway is finished with pretty milgraining along the edges and a tapering shank that transitions from 18k white gold into 18k yellow gold. The ring is currently a size 8.25 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
