Dorado is an authentically vintage Edwardian era wedding band. Likely from 1915, Dorado is made from platinum and 18k yellow gold featuring five Old Mine Cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.50ct. The hand cut stones are each prong-set in the platinum shank which seamlessly transitions into 18k yellow gold. This antique wedding band is currently a size 7 and can be sized up or down 1.5 sizes. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
