Fernwood

sold out!
Fernwood is a exceptional example of Art Deco craftsmanship (circa 1925). The platinum ring centers a box-set EGL certified 1.19ct Round Brilliant Cut diamond graded G color and SI1 clarity. The ring is flanked on either side by a pair of Square Step Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.20ct in weight- a very rare shape diamond to enhance the geomteric design during that period. Fernwood is further accented by a total of twenty Single Cut diamonds that are studded around the outside of the ring, totaling approximately 0.50ct in weight. The ring is finished with delicate linear filigree and a touch of milgraining along the platinum edges. Please note, the ring is currently a size 9.25 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. If it needs to be sized up or down over 2.5 sizes it will be subject to a sizing fee. Due to the complexity of the antique setting, our complimentary sizing will wait until both parties know the sale is final. If you want it sized before shipping, the ring will be final sale and not eligible for return.

HISTORY
The most characteristic feature of Art Deco jewelry is the emphasis on bold, geometric designs. The “Roaring 20’s” ushered in a new desire to live life to the fullest, which was very much reflected in the era’s jewelry designs.
