Glendry

sold out!

Glendry is an adorable and authentic Art Nouveau (circa 1905) platinum topped 18k rose gold "toi et moi" ring featuring a pretty diamond and pearl combination. The ring centers an Old Mine Cut diamond gauged at approximately 0.29ct in weight, and graded H-I color and VS clarity off-set with a pretty cream colored pearl gauged at 4.5mm in diameter. The pearl has not be tested by a laboratory, but our graduate gemologists agree that it is most likely natural due to the look of the pearl and the age of the ring. Glendry is finished with six Rose Cut diamonds lining the shoulders totaling approximately 0.06ct in weight. This pretty antique ring is a wonderful symbolic gesture of You and Me; a perfect message to send for an engagement.

The ring is currently a size 5.5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
