Inverness is a spectacular and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum engagement ring. This glittering beauty centers an antique Marquise Cut diamond accompanied by a GIA certificate stating the 1.49ct Marquise Brilliant Cut diamond is graded J color and VS2 clarity. The center diamond is flanked on either side by a pair of bezel set pear shaped diamonds, totaling approximately 0.40ct in combined weight, each graded J-K color and SI clarity. The ring is finished with lovely scrolling hand-engraving along the gallery and along the shoulders. This special ring is a beautiful piece of history and would be the perfect choice for any vintage lover. It is currently a size 7.25 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
