Key Biscayne is lovely silver topped 14k rose gold ring that was once a divine pair of Victorian era (circa 1880) earrings. The ring centers an Oval mixed cut natural sapphire with a weight of 1.48ct accompanied by a Guild Laboratories certificate stating the sapphire is Heated with Australian origin. A halo of sixteen Old Mine Cut and Single Cut diamonds highlight the midnight blue sapphire, with a total approximate weight of 0.30ct. Each diamond is nestled within silver bezels, which creates lovely scalloped edges along the outside. The ring is finished with a simple 14k rose gold shank that was later added by Trumpet & Horn. Key Biscayne is currently a size 7 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
Much of the popular Victorian jewelry was inspired by Queen Victoria’s style. For example, birthstones were popular in engagement rings because Victoria wore hers with an emerald. The Victorian era is further divided into Early (1837–1860), Mid (1860–1885), and Late (1890–1901) periods, reflecting changes in Victoria’s life and personal style. Early and late Victorian period jewelry is often described as having a romantic look, but mid-Victorian style is darker and more sentimental, reflecting Victoria’s personal period of mourning after the loss of her husband and mother.
