Meadowmere

sold out!

Meadowmere is a splendid and authentically antique Edwardian era (Circa 1915) platinum and diamond engagement ring. The ring features a bezel set Old European Cut diamond gauged at approximately 0.95ct in weight and graded G-H color and VS clarity. A total of six Single Cut diamonds line the tapering shoulders while a two additional Single Cut diamonds are placed on the top and bottom of the ring, all with a total diamond weight of approximately 0.12ct. Meadowmere's composition is on the cusp of Edwardian meets Art Deco design- the milgrain detailing mixed with the romantic metalwork along the gallery makes it a lovely mixture of both genres!

The ring is currently a size 6 1/8 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions! * Please note, the center diamond's carat weight, color and clarity has been graded by our gemologist in the mounting.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
