Monchique is an extraordinary vintage Art Deco (circa 1930) diamond and ruby engagement ring. The platinum ring centers an Old European Cut diamond, gauged at approximately 0.32ct and graded G color and VS clarity framed by two smaller Old Euros to the north and south and set in a marquise shaped faux bezel. The ring is further decorated by an X & O halo, a round diamond O and marquise ruby X set within the bounds of an open metal square frame. Two Old European Cut diamonds dot each shoulder, bringing the total accent diamond carat weight to 0.40ctw and graded F-I color and VS-SI clarity. Monchique is finished with delicate millegrained edges throughout the entire piece and lovely scalloped open metalwork along the gallery. This exquisite ring is quite the work of art, and would be the loveliest addition to any vintage-lovers collection!
