Palmetta is an elegant Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum ring centering a 0.39ct EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded J color and VS1 clarity. This sparkling center diamond is set within an eight-prong bombe style setting and further decorated with six Single Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.10ct. The ring is finished with impeccable filigree, hand engraving and a touch of milgraining along the platinum edges. Palmetta is currently a size 5.5 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
