Piedmont is a captivating and authentically antique Edwardian era (circa 1900) diamond and pearl dinner ring. This beautiful piece of history is ornamentally shaped, featuring a white natural pearl flanked vertically by two antique Pear Brilliant Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.40ctw and graded G-H color and SI-I1 clarity. The three featured stones are suspended in a reverse-S shaped open frame, composed of an additional twenty-two Old Mine Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.85ctw. Piedmont is finished with a slightly swirling slim 18k yellow gold shank and light millegraining along the platinum edges. This dramatic and beautiful ring makes a bold statement, the richness of the 18k yellow gold contrasts beautifully with the platinum-topped scrolling open frame of scintillating diamonds.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces.
