Prestwick

sold out!

Prestwick is an exceptional 1920's 14k yellow gold Crest ring made in Vienna, Austria around 1922 (hallmarks inside). The ring centers a bezel set carved sapphire gauged at 2.05cts accompanied with a Guild Laboratories certificate stating the sapphire is Ceylon origin and unheated. This stunning sapphire oval tablet is hand-carved and depicts a crown with the initials MK below. Prestwick was originally used to seal an envelope by pressing wax onto the paper leaving an exact copy of the crest. Prestwick is finished with a intricate shank accented with elaborate metalwork and hand engraving along the gallery. The ring is stamped SJS inside the shank, a maker's mark for the jeweler Josef Siess. What an exceptional ring for any true vintage lover! Prestwick is currently a size 5.5 and can be sized one size up and one size down. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

HISTORY
Antique Art Deco jewelry reflects the style and spirit associated with the roaring twenties, featuring bold geometric designs. Diamonds were typically a focal point, but calibre cut sapphires, rubies, and emeralds were among the stones used to add splashes of color.
