Salinger

sold out!

Salinger is a unique diamond halo style ring that was likely once an authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum stick pin. An 18k yellow gold shank was later added around the 1960's. The ring centers a single bezel set Old Mine Cut diamond gauged at 0.25ct graded J-K color and SI clarity. A separated halo of thirteen Rose Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.15ct complete the elegant look of this one of a kind ring. Salinger is finished with timeless milgrained edges and a creative 18k yellow gold shank designed in a molded wire technique. The ring is currently a size 5.75 and can be sized to fit some ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
