South Sussex is a timeless and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum and diamond engagement ring centering an EGL certified 1.17cts Old European Cut diamond graded G color and VS1 clarity. This beautiful and intricately designed ring is further accented by a pair of Old European Cut diamonds lining the shoulders and totaling approximately 0.06ct in combined weight. South Sussex is finished with elaborate floral open metal work and hand engraving throughout the shoulders and gallery!

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
