Tamerlane is a splendid and authentic early Edwardian era (circa 1915) 18k white gold and palladium diamond ring. This lovely antique cluster ring features eight Old European Cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.05ct in combined weight, each graded F-G color and VS clarity (one accent diamond is graded SI2). Tamerlane is finished with decadent chevron patterned engraving that travels the entirety of the band. The ring is currently a size 8 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
