HISTORY
The Georgian Era covers over 100 years, from 1714-1830. Unfortunately, Georgian jewelry is quite rare. Most jewelry we find today has been taken apart or modified to reflect the trends that were happening during the time, so most Georgian jewelry didn’t survive into modern times intact.
The stones used in Georgian rings were never cut specifically for the ring; they were always used as-is, making no two pieces of jewelry quite the same. Georgian jewelry (especially rings) are often roughly cut and often include floral, bow, or scroll motifs.
