Willowcrest

sold out!

Willowcrest is a sparkling and authentic early Edwardian (circa 1910) platinum and 14k yellow gold ring that most likely started out life as an earring or part of a necklace. Our expert gemologists can tell that the shank of the ring is not original to the piece. The cluster style engagement ring features eight Old European Cut diamonds that total approximately 1.05ct in weight, each graded F-G color and VS clarity. Willowcrest is the perfect engagement ring for any girl who loves vintage and wants a low-profile, easy to wear ring. The ring is finished with a simple, lightly polished 14k yellow gold shank. It is currently a size 6.75 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact on concierge with sizing questions.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
