Montpelier is an exquisitely handcrafted authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum set diamond engagement ring featuring a bezel set 0.78ct EGL certified Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond graded I color and VS1 clarity. Montpelier is designed in a graceful bombe-style setting flanked by two sparkling Single Cut diamonds gauged at 0.04ct. This pristine ring is finished off with delicate floral hand pierced filigree, milgrained edges, and flowery engraving along the shoulders. Montpelier is currently a size 5.25 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
