Sawmill is a fabulous authentic Victorian era (circa 1880) 14k yellow gold three-stone citrine ring centering a six-prong set elongated Oval light yellow citrine gauged at 2.85ct and flanked on either side by two Oval citrines both saturated a deeper yellow and gauged at a combined total weight of 2.50ct. Sawmill is finished with unique open metal work around the center gallery and complete with a beautiful brushed yellow gold finish. HISTORY
Much of the popular Victorian jewelry was inspired by Queen Victoria’s style. For example, birthstones were popular in engagement rings because Victoria wore hers with an emerald. The Victorian era is further divided into Early (1837–1860), Mid (1860–1885), and Late (1890–1901) periods, reflecting changes in Victoria’s life and personal style. Early and late Victorian period jewelry is often described as having a romantic look, but mid-Victorian style is darker and more sentimental, reflecting Victoria’s personal period of mourning after the loss of her husband and mother.
