Sunset Hill

sold out!

Sunset Hill is a fantastic Edwardian era (circa 1915) 14k rose gold ring centering a scintillating 0.64ct EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded E color and SI1 clarity. The ring is further designed with thirteen Old European Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.35ct. Sunset Hill is finished with superb rose gold scalloped edges that hug each outside diamond perfectly and detailed milgrained edges along the outside border. It is likely that this ring originally started its life as a pair of Edwardian era earrings with the also converted Adlington ring. Sunset Hill is currently a size 6.5 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
