Cedar Creek is a fabulous Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum engagement ring. This one-of-a-kind, handcrafted beauty centers a bezel set Oval Cut natural sapphire gauged at approximately 1.80ct accompanied with by a Guild Laboratories certificate stating the sapphire is Unheated with Thai origin. The pretty cobalt blue sapphire is surrounded by a glittering halo of fourteen Old European Cut diamonds, each bezel set, totaling approximately 0.90ct in weight. Cedar Creek is finished with a simple platinum shank that was most likely added in the 1950's. It is currently a size 8.75 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
