Edenstone

sold out!

Edenstone is a delicate and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1915) platinum engagement ring featuring a 0.99ct EGL certified Old Mine Cushion Cut diamond graded I color and VS2 clarity. The center stone is nestled between four French Cut bright blue sapphires that total approximately 0.40ct. Edenstone's center diamond is quite a rarity, with its weight just under a one carat stone. This means you can have the look of a one carat stone without the price tag of one! Edenstone is finished with a lovely cross-over design on each side of the gallery and timeless engraving along the shoulders. The ring is currently a size 5 and cannot be sized. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
