Alta Vista

sold out!
Alta Vista is an early Art Deco platinum and diamond engagement ring likely made near the year 1920. This elegant ring features a bright 0.55ct Old European Cut diamond estimated at H color and VS clarity. The authentic design details of this piece were evident in both the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. Delicate filigree and and hand piercing make up the intricate metal work around the gallery and shoulders, while a striking box-set center frames the gleaming center stone. The marriage of the lacy metal work and the linear drama in the center delineate the period of time of when this stunning piece was hand crafted. Alta Vista is currently a size 6 and can be sized to fit. Please contact our concierge for questions about this ring.

HISTORY
Antique Art Deco jewelry reflects the style and spirit associated with the roaring twenties, featuring bold geometric designs. Diamonds were typically a focal point, but calibre cut sapphires, rubies, and emeralds were among the stones used to add splashes of color.
