Genova is a magnificent and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum, black enamel and diamond ring. The unique and stunning ring features a 3.09cts EGL certified Old Mine Cushion Cut graded M color and SI2 clarity. A border of pristine, shiny black enamel wraps around the entirety of the ring which brings a unique statement to this piece of history! Genova is finished with two Single Cut diamonds lining the delicate platinum, lightly polished shoulders totaling approximately 0.03ct in weight. The ring is currently a size 8 and can be sized to fit most ring sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
