Hidden Hollow is a lovely and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) platinum and diamond engagement ring. Designed in a bombe style, this ring features a diamond nestled inside a hexagonal shaped frame accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating the 1.17ct Old European Brilliant Cut diamond is graded K color and SI2 clarity. Hidden Hollow is further designed with an open metal cage work surround set with an additional six Old European Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.12ct in combined weight, each graded G-H color and SI clarity. The ring is finished with a raised open gallery which allows light to pass through creating even more brilliance and scintillation to the center diamond.

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
