Walsall is a romantic and authentic Edwardian era (circa 1910) diamond filigree engagement ring. This lovely ring centers a 0.99ct diamond accompanied by a GIA Diamond Report stating the Old European Cut diamond is graded I color and I1 clarity. Walsall is further accented by ten Single Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.10ctw and graded G-H color and VS clarity. The diamond-dusted platinum setting is decadently decorated with lovely hand-engraved details along the gallery and down the shoulders, as well as beautiful scrolling open metalwork. Walsall is finished with a slightly tapering platinum shank, and is stamped with platinum purity marks. The ring is a gorgeous example of the Edwardian style!

HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
