Happy Friday, folks! Today we are featuring five awesome Retro era engagement rings. The Retro era encompasses jewelry made from about 1935-1950. This was a very unique time in history: Americans were recovering from the financial disaster of The Great Depression & the world was absorbed with the conflicts of WWII. Jewelry from this time period reflects the glamour and glitz of Hollywood, with big, bold designs. Jewelry made in the later Retro period uses gold as the main metal of choice, as platinum became scarce during the war. We love the striking and eye-catching designs the Retro era has to offer!
