There's not much else in this world we love besides cry-worthy proposal stories, and believe us, this is one of them. Meet Clara & Jay, our latest members of the Trumpet Tribe! They got engaged with a custom Willow Glen ring when Jay sneakily filmed them in France. Je t'aime! Hear Jay's side of their sweet love story and watch the video at the end!:

Clara and I met a little over three years ago to work on a short film project. I was venturing out of photography and into filmmaking at the time and wanted to showcase the beauty and art of dance. I happened upon a routine she was choreographing with a mutual friend and reached out via social media to see if she would be interested in collaborating. She responded with interest and we met over brunch to discuss a few weeks later. We immediately hit it off and left the meeting with the desire to hang out again. A few weeks afterwards she happened to be in town dropping a friend off at the airport, we had coffee and walked around town talking for hours.

 

We ended up going hiking together all summer. We were still just friends but it was clear there was much more there.

On the last hike I dropped Clara off at her apartment and she leaned in for a kiss. Three years later we were planning our first international trip together and we decided on Paris after finding a great deal on flights. I knew this would be the perfect time to propose. I wanted to do something simple and a friend suggested the Luxembourg Gardens. My plan was to pretend we were taking a photo together on our first day in France but instead I was recording a video and the rest is history!
