Congratulations are in order for our latest T&H Couple, Dana & Chris! Dana & Chris met at work a few days after Dana moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. They quickly formed a connection and learned a lot about each other through working together and becoming running partners. Ultimately their careers moved in different directions, but they remained close friends. Dana became an integral part in Chris' life and the lives of his two children. It is difficult for them to tell exactly when their romantic relationship began as their friendship has always been such an integral part of their bond. Once, when fantasizing about future travel plans, Dana mentioned wanting to visit Monet's studio in Giverny, France where Monet completed the water lilies series. Chris stored this anecdote in his mind for later. When the pair started discussing engagement, they stumbled upon the gorgeous Annapolis ring on the Trumpet & Horn site, and knew immediately that it was perfect. A few weeks later, when Dana noticed it was gone from the website, she was crushed when Chris assured her that he hadn't had a chance to buy it. Little did she know, Chris had purchased the Annapolis ring, and was just waiting for the perfect moment to propose. After holding onto the ring for over a month, Chris finally saw his opening: a local museum in Kansas City had a few of Monet's water lily panels on exhibit. Chris arranged for a date night to the museum and got on bended knee in front of one of the paintings. When the moment finally came, he was overcome with emotion, and Dana lovingly spared him the trouble of speaking by quickly accepting his proposal! The two will be married in August in a beautiful, simple, and classic celebration with close family and friends. They are saving up for a trip to Giverny to celebrate their third anniversary. We are overjoyed to be part of your family's history— Huge congratulations! ♥
