Congratulations are in order for our latest T&H Couple, Samantha & Jonathan! This gorgeous duo met in early 2011 while working together on pediatric research studies at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA. They connected immediately and a natural friendship developed over the course of the year. He extended an invitation for an end-of-summer trip to the Pacific Northwest with friends that she reluctantly declined. Eventually Samantha gave in, and the two had their first date at Disneyland in the fall. Amongst many things, they fell in love over her passion for books and his for beer, as well as their mutual appetites for food, life, art, music, and travel. Since then they— their loving families, friends, and pets— have been inseparable.
Earlier this summer, Jonathan came to Trumpet & Horn in search of the perfect ring for his perfect lady. After careful consideration (and advice from their adorable French bulldog, Marcel), Jonathan came to choose the Westbrook ring, a stunning Retro era engagement ring with delicate Edwardian influences. We held onto the ring for Jonathan until he was ready to propose. That moment came on July 23rd, 2015, during their third Pacific Northwest adventure. Sam and Jon took a ferry from Seattle to The Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. There, sitting across from the iconic weeping willow of Mid Pond, with geese as their witnesses, Jonathan asked whether Samantha was ready to begin the next chapter of their lives as his wife. The surprised "Seattle Sam" (as her family has now dubbed her) happily answered, 'Really?!' then, 'Yes!'
We feel so fortunate to call you two members of the Trumpet & Horn family and are so grateful that our Westbrook ring has found a happy forever home! Cheers!♥
