Almont is a historically significant Victorian era (circa 1900) diamond and sapphire snake ring. Queen Victoria’s engagement ring from Prince Albert was made in the likeness of a snake with an emerald-set head. The serpent is said to represent eternal love and wisdom as it relates to Queen Victoria. Almont is a lovely example of the ever-popular serpent design with two intertwined snakes, one featuring an Old Mine Cut diamond weighing approximately 0.25ct and graded F color and I1 clarity, while the other features a 0.25ct Cushion Mixed Cut sapphire. The eyes of each snake are represented by four Single Cut diamonds, totaling approximately 0.05ctw and graded Fancy Light Yellow. Almont is finished with incredibly lifelike hand engraving depicting the scale patterns of the serpents. The 18k rose gold ring is finished with a lovely patina, highlighting the age of this incredible antique ring.

Almont is currently a size 8 and can be resized to some sizes. Please contact our concierge with sizing questions.
