Ashbury Heights is a one-of-a-kind Edwardian (circa 1910) platinum engagement ring exhibiting true elegance and grace. The ring centers a bezel set Oval natural sapphire gauged at an estimated 3.00cts and accompanied by an AGL certificate stating that the sapphire is unheated with Ceylon origin. This remarkable, beautifully saturated sapphire is further surrounded by a halo thirty-one Single Cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.20ct. Ashbury Heights is finished with additional diamonds lining the shoulders and stamped with the ever-so-coveted European Hallmarks. HISTORY
During the Edwardian period, technological advances caused major changes in the way that jewelry was manufactured. Jewelers were finally able to work with platinum, which allowed for more intricate and detailed pieces. Delicate settings with lots of diamonds were especially popular during this time, though we also see a number of different colored stones, including sapphires, aquamarines, and rare electric green demantoid garnets.
