This antique halo centers a bezel set Old Mine Cut diamond gauged at approximately 1.00ct, graded K-L color and VS2 clarity. A glittering halo of sixteen Rose Cut diamonds, totaling approximately 0.50ct, surround the center stone which is bordered by a thin platinum edge. Tahoe is finished with decadent hand engraved milgrained edges throughout and a 14k yellow gold shank that tapers towards the base of the ring. Please keep in mind the center diamond was not removed from the setting for certification, so the diamond carat, color and clarity has been estimated. The ring is currently a size 6.25 and can be sized to fit.

HISTORY
Much of the popular Victorian jewelry was inspired by Queen Victoria’s style. For example, birthstones were popular in engagement rings because Victoria wore hers with an emerald. The Victorian era is further divided into Early (1837–1860), Mid (1860–1885), and Late (1890–1901) periods, reflecting changes in Victoria’s life and personal style. Early and late Victorian period jewelry is often described as having a romantic look, but mid-Victorian style is darker and more sentimental, reflecting Victoria’s personal period of mourning after the loss of her husband and mother.
