Lausanne is an incredible vintage Late Art Deco (circa 1935) 14k white gold engagement ring. This show-stopping ring centers a bezel set 6.82ct Cushion Cut sapphire accompanied with a GIA certificate stating the sapphire is unheated and from Madagascar, an extreme rarity. The center sapphire exhibits silk within the stone, a clarity characteristic which is described as microscopic rutile needles. These needles are highly reflective and scatter light within the faceted sapphire, adding a unique quality and further enhancing its brilliance. A decadent halo of eighteen Single Cut diamonds frame this center sapphire totaling approximately 0.45ct. Lausanne is finished with a simple, polished 14k white gold shank and subtle milgraining around each edge. The ring is currently a size 7.25 and can be sized to fit.
